Copper Queens trio of Prisca Chilufya, Misozi Zulu and Hellen Chanda has arrived in Luanda ahead of Wednesday’s Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifier against Angola.
Prisca Chilufya returns to the Copper Queens set up for the first time since missing out on the World Cup back in July.
Thefor Liga MX Femenil side FC Juárez midfielder was part of the Copper Queens camp in Germany but did not make the final squad for the FIFA 2023 Women’s World Cup in New Zealand/Australia.
Misozi Zulu also makes a return after her impressive showing for his club Hakkarigucu Spor in Turkey.
Chanda on the other hand was part of the team that beat Morocco in two international friendly games back in September.
The trio’s arrival takes the number of players in camp to 22 with Barbra Banda and Rachel Nachula having arrived earlier in the day.
Madrid CFF forward Racheal Kundananji is on her way to Luanda and will arrive Tuesday morning to complete the squad.
The Copper Queens will face Angola in the first leg set for Wednesday, 29 November before hosting Angola at Levy Mwanawasa stadium in Ndola on 5 December 2023.
Winner over two legs will qualify for the WAFCON to be held in Morocco in 2024.
