Skipper Barbra Banda and Spain based forward Rachel Kundananji will lead the attack when the Copper Queens face Angola this evening.
The duo are expected to reunite for the first time since September when they put six past Morocco in an international friendly match.
Despite Kundananji only arriving yesterday, The Madrid CFF striker is likely to start the match in Luanda.
Kundananji has been in fine form for Madrid CFF scoring six goals in the league in the opening ten games.
Banda is the Copper Queens all time top goalscorer with 44 goals in 47 games and will be looking to add to her tally.
Israel based Rachel Nachula could join the duo in a front three.
Mwape could also decide to play Hellen Chanda upfront with Mexico based Prisca Chilufya also in the running for a place upfront.
Fridah Kabwe and Lungowe Namasiku are also available for selection.
Zambia will be seeking a fourth consecutive appearance at the WAFCON and build on their highest ever podium finish when they won bronze at the expense of Nigeria at the 2022 WAFCON held in Morocco.
The Copper Queens will take on Angola at 17h00 CAT at Luanda’s Estadio 22 de Junho before hosting them in a return leg at Levy Mwanawasa stadium on 5 December, 2023.
Winner over two legs will qualify for the WAFCON to be held in Morocco in 2024.
