Coach Bruce Mwape is spoilt for choice when it comes to midfield options when the Copper Queens take on Angola this evening.
With his now trusted duo of ‘the susans’ available Mwape’s squad is stacked with quality in the middle of the park.
Enterprising Evarine Susan Katongo and Susan Banda are likely to partner in midfield.
Mwape could introduce the female Computer, Ireen Lungu as the third member of the midfield.
Fan favorite Avell Chitundu is also available together with returning Misozi Zulu who could provide a dose of experience needed in the team.
Hellen Chanda could also be an option in the midfield though she is preferred in the forward positions by coach Bruce Mwape.
Zambia will be seeking a fourth consecutive appearance at the WAFCON and build on their highest ever podium finish when they won bronze at the expense of Nigeria at the 2022 WAFCON held in Morocco.
The Copper Queens will take on Angola at 17h00 CAT at Luanda’s Estadio 22 de Junho before hosting them in a return leg at Levy Mwanawasa stadium on 5 December, 2023.
Winner over two legs will qualify for the WAFCON to be held in Morocco in 2024.
