Four people died and 25 others were seriously injured early Friday when a bus collided head-on with a truck in central Zambia, police said.
The driver of the bus was trying to overtake when the vehicle crashed into a truck from the opposite direction in Kabwe town, police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga said in a statement.
The driver, his helper and two others on the bus, died on the spot; 25 others sustained serious injures, the statement said.
Crashes involving public buses are often reported in Zambia, many blamed on careless driving.
