Forest Rangers Unveil Mwenya Chipepo and Manchi Janza

Zambia Super League side Forest Rangers have unveiled Mwenya Chipepo as their new head coach.

Chipepo was unveiled on Wednesday morning alongside his new first assistant coach Manchi Janza. The duo have penned two and half year deals with the reigning ABSA Cup Champions.

The announcement was made during a press briefing held at Dola Hill Stadium this morning.

Chipepo recently left Power Dynamos after resigning from the club

“Forest Rangers Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of their new head coach, Mwenya Chipepo.

Coach Chipepo will be assisted by Coach Manchi Janza, formerly of Lusaka Dynamos.

Coach Chipepo brings a wealth of experience to the Forest technical bench, having recently led Power Dynamos to victory in the MTN Super League and qualification for the CAF Champions League last season.”

Chipepo has previously worked with Young Power Dynamos and other Super Division Teams, including Indeni and Prison Leopards Football Clubs.

The two will be joining on a 2 year 6 months contract.

Mr. Mwaba Mulawo, the club Chairman, confirmed the exciting development, expressing confidence that the appointment of Coach Chipepo and Coach Janza would not only instil hope but also deliver the desired results.

“We firmly believe these appointments will not only instil hope among our stakeholders but also yield the desired results on the field.”

“With the exceptional quality of players at the club’s disposal and the expertise that the Coaches bring, we firmly believe that Forest Rangers can both qualify for and defend the ABSA Cup.”

The club has set a challenge for Coach Chipepo to lead the team to qualification for the ABSA Cup in the remaining six games of the first half of the season.

Meanwhile, Forest Rangers has mutually agreed to part ways with Assistant Coach Kennedy Kashobondo.

Coach Kashobondo assumed the role of interim head coach following Ian Bakala’s departure in September.
