Government has launched investigations in the killing of a 15-year-old boy by a Zambia National Service -ZNS- officer in Mufulira on the Copperbelt province.
Acting Chief Government Spokesperson Collins Nzovu says government is saddened by the killing of Chrispin Buunda.
Mr. Nzovu told journalists during the Ministry of Information and Media weekly media engagement that the death of Chrispin would have been avoided if live ammunitions were not used.
Speaking at the same event, Copperbelt Minister Elisha Matambo said Government sympathises with the bereaved family and regrets the incident.
Mr. Matambo revealed that Government has taken over the funeral expenses until the burial day.
And Mr. Matambo has urged the opposition political leaders not use such sad events to gain political mileage.
