The Zambian Government has commended India’s commitment to cherishing the Zambian constitutional values, fostering a spirit of unity and patriotism between the two countries.
Justice Minister Mulambo Haimbe says it is important for Zambia to draw inspiration from the Indian constitutional legacy as it strives to uphold the rights and freedoms of its citizens.
Speaking during the Commemoration of the Constitutional Day of India in Lusaka, Mr. Haimbe said the occasion serves as a catalyst for Zambia to strengthen its constitutional fabric and uphold the ideas of democracy, justice and equality.
Meanwhile Indian High Commissioner to Zambia Ashok Kumar said It is necessary that the young generation take active interest in the debates and discussions on Constitutional subjects.
Mr. Kumar said this will create a vision among the youths to understand topics like equality and empowerment which will further strengthen democracy and the future of India.
