Newly appointed Forest Rangers head coach Mwenya Chipepo says he will not promise the club the league title this season but will see how this month goes.
Chipepo was unveiled earlier this morning as new Forest Rangers head coach at a press briefing held at Dola Hill Stadium.
Chipepo was unveiled alongside Manchi Janza who will be his first assistant coach.
The former Power Dynamos coach says he chose Janza to be his first assistant because he likes how the former Lusaka Dynamos coach works.
“I was given a chance. I chose Janza because I have seen how he works and working with him we Will have a good team,” he said.
“I can’t promise we are winning the league this season but let’s see what will happen this month.”
Chipepo says he will work with the players he has found at Forest Rangers.
He believes they are a good team and will just need to work hard.
“We will work with the material we have found and work on their weaknesses,” he said.
“Forest is not a bad team, they have good players and good talent, nothing Will be difficult for us.just a matter of working hard and being committed,” he added.
Chipepo and Janza have penned two and half year deals with Fole Malembe.
Chipepo’s first game will be on Saturday away in Chililabombwe against struggling Konkola Blades.
Forest Rangers are currently 11th on the table with 14 points accumulated after 12 games.
