Masebo Urges Citizens To Adopt Healthy Lifestyles

Health Minister Sylvia Masebo has urged Zambians to adopt a healthy lifestyle in bid to combat non communicable diseases.

Masebo says once physical exercises are made part of daily routine, the country’s health system will not be overwhelmed.

She says regular exercises should be taken as a lifestyle if people are to leave longer and become productive as that will lead to economic development.

Masebo has since declared that every event to be held by the Ministry will be preceded by a health activity.

The Minister was speaking during a walk for life held prior to the 3rd Annual International Conference on Public Health in Africa -CPHIA- that will be held in Lusaka from the 27th to the 30th November 2023.

And, Africa Center for Disease Control and Prevention Director General, Jean Kaseya said over 5- thousand delegates from across Africa will be in attendance while over 25- thousand to join the proceedings virtually.

He said the Summit is aimed at celebrating the strides that Africa has made in addressing Public health matters and also honoring people that have greatly contributed to improvement of continent’s health status.
