Refurbished Kasama Airport Commissioned

President Hakainde Hichilema has commissioned Kasama Airport in Northern Province whose construction cost 2-hundred and 28-million Kwacha.

President Hichilema says his government has delivered the project which was not actualised by the previous administration.

Speaking during the launch, President Hichilema said Northern province has huge resources which should be used to improve the lives of the people.

The President added that his administration will support the region to exploit the resources.

And President Hichilema said there will be no discrimination as his administration implements various projects across the country.

And Transport and Logistics Minister Frank Tayali said government means well for Zambians.

Mr. Tayali said works at the airport were done to expand the Runway and upgrade other infrastructure.

And Chinese Ambassador to Zambia Du Xiaohui said Kasama Airport is of huge significant to the relationship between Zambia and his Country.

And speaking on behalf of one of the Contractors, Zambia National Service Commander Lieutenant General Solochi Maliti thanked his officers for ably executing their part on the project.

And Northern Province Minister Leonard Mbao thanked the head of state for continuously visiting the province since he assumed office in 2021.
