Kundananji On Target in Spain

Zambia Women’s National Team striker Rachel Kundananji was on target for her Spanish Liga F side Madrid CFF on Sunday afternoon.

Kundananji scored the opener as Madrid CFF edged Levante Las Planas 4-3 in a Liga F round 10 encounter.

Kundananji then chipped in with a goal from the spot to seal the win.

The Brazilian duo of Monica and Luany scored a goal each to help the team to a hard fought win.

French defender Morgane Nicoli scored a brace for Las Planas before being sent off for a second bookable offence later in the match.

The win sees Madrid move to 21 points in fifth place after ten matches nine points adrift of leaders FC Barcelona.

Kundananji will now shift attention to the National Team as she is set to join the Copper Queens in Luanda ahead of Wednesday’s Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) second round, first leg qualifier against Angola.
